Thomas Hong, MD

Dr. Thomas Hong specializes in the management of arthritic conditions as well as managing failed joint replacements. His surgical expertise includes hip and knee replacements, partial knee replacements, robotic surgeries, and revision (re-do) hip and knee replacements.

Dr. Hong completed his undergraduate and graduate training in Aerospace Engineering at the University of California San Diego, his Doctor of Medicine and Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, and his Fellowship in Adult Lower Extremity Reconstructive Surgery at Stanford University, Standford, California.

Dr. Hong strives to return each patient he sees to the active lifestyle they deserve by applying the principles of engineering and human anatomy to maximize their quality of life.

Tom enjoys fishing, music, and all things aviation-related outside of work and is excited to return to San Diego!
