Dr. David is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a subspecialty certification in Orthopedic Sports Medicine. His practice focus is arthroscopic and sports medicine surgery.
In addition to his private practice, Dr. David is a Volunteer Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at UC San Diego Health and a Faculty Instructor in the San Diego Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine Fellowship. He serves on the Board of Editors of the peer-reviewed scientific journal, Orthopedics. Dr. David is an active member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA), the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery, and Orthopedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS) and a member of the Council of Delegates for the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM). He is a Past-President of the San Diego Orthopedic Society and a member of the Board of Directors for the California Orthopedic Association.
Michael R. Lenihan, M.D., has been in private practice in San Diego since 1992 and is a Founding Member and Medical Director of Otay Lakes Surgery Center in Chula Vista. He is also a Founding Member and President of Synergy Orthopedic Specialists, Inc., a twelve-physician orthopedic group.
He completed his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Southern California where he graduated at the top of his class. After an Orthopedic Residency at the Los Angeles County/University of Southern California Medical Center, he subsequently completed a Sports Fellowship with the prestigious Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic for Sports Medicine where he assisted physicians attending to professional athletes engaged by the Los Angeles Lakers, Dodgers, Rams, Kings, Angels, PGA Tour, Senior PGA Tour and Hollywood Park Racetrack. He also served as Team Physician for LMU as well as the NCAA Women’s Basketball National Championship Tournament.
Mr. Fernandez has over 25 years of experience in leading multi-site physician practice management companies. Most recently advising private equity and medical groups on integration, growth and medical practice management. He has a masters degree in business from University of Miami, Florida and is a certified practice management executive.
