Maria Elena Lopez

Maria has been practicing Chinese Medicine for 15 years. For the past 5 years her practice has focused exclusively on orthopedic rehabilitation and pain management. Her experience has taught her that acupuncture has a subtle yet potentially profound effect on health.

As receiving acupuncture regularly influences the circulation of the natural biochemicals of the body, it can support and accelerate healing mechanisms of the body to balance systems and promote true homeostasis.

Because acupuncture stimulates the circulation of biochemicals it can be used to treat a broad spectrum of health concerns, oftentimes benefitting multiple aspects of wellness at once. For example, a common response to acupuncture is immediate stress reduction.

Maria holds a B.A. degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland at College Park and a M.S.T.O.M degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, outdoor activities and spending time with her loved ones.
